Daily Tidbit: I love cream cheese, but because of its high level of saturated fats and calories I consider it a “treat”. I was recently was introduced to Neufchatel cheese which has less calories, less saturated fat, and less cholesterol and more Calcium than cream cheese. Neufchatel has a bit more sodium with slightly more sugar (1 more gram per 2 tbsp servings), but it still has that yummy sour creamy taste and texture of good old cream cheese, so I would say they are basically interchangeable depending on your health priorities.
