Blueberry Pancakes for Breakfast

Daily Tidbit:
Today was a hard day for me, attending the funeral of a good friend who was much too young.  In times like these it is really easy to fall into emotional eating to bring comfort.  I had a hard time eating at certain points of the day, but am generally pleased with my food decisions, all things considered, which kept my energy going through the long day.

Here are some tips on how to control emotional eating:

Blueberry Pancakes

Breakfast: Blueberry Pancakes

2 six inch Blueberry Pancakes
1 tsp Maple Syrup
5oz OJ
Regular Coffee, splash of Fat Free Milk & Pure Ground Cinnamon

Turkey Sandwich with Provolone & Avocado

Lunch:Turkey Sandwich with Avocado & chips
2  Pepridge Farms 15 Grain Small Slices Bread
4 thin slices of Roasted Turkey Cold Cuts
1/2 Avocado, smashed as Bread 'dressing'
1 slice Reduced Fat Provolone Cheese
Dollop of Dijon Mustard on side for dipping
Waffle Kettle Cooked Potato Chips
Decaf Coffee, splash of Fat Free Milk & Pure Ground Cinnamon

Snack:  White Wine, no food, at funeral reception.  I had no appetite.

Spicy Jamaican Beef Patty
1/2 Turkey & Cheese Sandwich

Dinner:  On the way home (literally eating in the car)
1 Spicy Jamaican Beef Patty
1/2 Turkey Sandwich with Lettuce, Tomato, Mayo & Cheese

My awesome husband picked these up from a Deli for me before hitting the road.  He knew I would enjoy something yummy, like the Spicy Jamaican Beef Patty (huge yum!), but would also need the substance of a Turkey Sandwich to keep me full.

Dessert: None.  Long day, early to bed.
