Fried Cod Sandwich for Lunch

Daily Tidbit:   I love Onions - all sorts.  They provide such amazing flavor to all different types of dishes.  Tonight we tried a Red Onion Pizza and it was delicious!  The onions really elevated the flavor excitement level and added the extra pizzazz we wanted.

I feel like Onions don't get much good press or notoriety for their nutritional benefits though.  They are high in Fiber, low in Calories and provide a lot of bang for your buck.  More importantly however, they contain compounds that may reduce inflammation, protect against certain types of Cancer, and lower blood pressure.  Read more here:

Life Cereal with Walnuts

Breakfast: Life Cereal with Walnuts
1 cup Life Cereal

1 cup Fat Free Milk
2 tbsp chopped Walnuts  
5 oz Organic Orange Juice
Regular Coffee, 1/2 tsp 100% Cacao Dark Chocolate Cocoa, splash Fat Free Milk

Fried Cod Sandwich


Lunch at Reading Terminal Market in Philly:
Fried Cod Sandwich on Kaiser Roll with Tomato & Romaine
squirt of Lemon Juice on the fish
10 French Fries from a shared side order
Diet Coke

The Kaiser Roll was good but big, so I only ate half to save myself the Carbs, Calories and the inevitable energy drain that typically results when I eat a lot of bread at Lunch. 


Peanut Butter Whoopie Pie
Oops!  Almost forgot, after lunch we walked around looking for a treat for the kids and found Peanut Butter Whoopie Pies.  My son shared 2 bites with me, yum!  (Not my pic above, but they looked exactly like this!)

Dinner:  Red Onion Pizza
2 Large Slices of Whole Wheat Pizza topped with sliced raw Red Onions, Organic No Salt Added Marinara & Part Skim Mozzarella Cheese
Red Wine
