Sat. Sept 15th

White Fish Corn Tacos for Dinner!

Daily Tidbit:  Today I managed to get 2 servings of fish into my day:  Shrimp at Lunch and White Fish in my Tacos at Dinner (pictured above).  I love fish, and Shrimp in particular are a good low calorie, high protein food which are a great source of Omega 3's, B12 & Selenium as well!

I found this interesting website, which tells you how much seafood is safe to eat based on your weight, along with the nutrition profile of any chosen fish, according to the serving size.  It is pretty cool, check it out:

Newman's Own Vanilla Almond Cereal

Breakfast: Vanilla Almond Cereal
1 cup Newman's Own Vanilla Almond Cereal
1 cup Fat Free Milk
2 tbsp Plain chopped Walnuts
5 oz OJ
Regular Coffee, black

Shrimp Caesar Salad

Lunch: Caesar Salad with Grilled Shrimp
"Giant" Caesar Salad: Romaine Lettuce, Parmesan Cheese & Caesar Dressing
5 Grilled Shrimp
3 Eggplant "Croutons"
5 of my son's French Fries
Diet Coke 


Caesar Salad is one of those things that I enjoy, but never make at home so it is fun to order when I am out.  Though I would have used more than just 5 small Shrimp and used a bit less dressing if I was the one making it.  Maybe I need to try making one at home next time!

Snack: 1/4 cup dry roasted, lightly salted Peanuts, Fat Free Milk

Dinner: 2 White Fish Corn Tacos

2 pieces of fried White Fish (leftover from my son's fish & chips lunch)
2 Small soft Corn Tortillas
1/2 Avocado, split between each Taco
1 tbsp jarred Medium Salsa on each Taco
1/8 cup Part Skim Mozzarella Cheese on each Taco
squirt of Lime juice on top of each Taco
White Wine

Dessert: 1 Local Gala Apple, Water
