Daily Tidbit:  WebMD's 10 Foods to Eat when you have the Flu (a Banana is one!): 


Plain Shredded Wheat Cereal with Walnuts

Breakfast:  Plain Shredded Wheat Cereal with Walnuts & Smoothie
1 cup plain Shredded Wheat Cereal
1 cup Fat Free Milk
2 tbsp chopped Plain Walnuts
5 oz Strawberry Carrot Smoothie (recipe below)
Regular Coffee, splash Fat Free Milk


Spinach Almond Gorgonzola Salad

Lunch: Spinach Almond Gorgonzola Salad  
Handful of Spinach tossed with:  
-2 Hard Boiled Eggs, chopped
-2 tbsp toasted Almond slivers  
-2 tbsp Dried Cranberries  
-2 tbsp Gorgonzola
-Cucumbers, sliced
-1 tbsp Balsamic Vinaigrette   
Decaf Coffee, splash Fat Free Milk


Snack: 1/4 cup dry roasted, lightly salted Peanuts, Fat Free Milk


Dinner:  Night out Celebrating with Friends!  
1st Trip through the Buffet!
2nd Trip through the Buffet!
Meal:  Indian Buffet
I loaded up my plate twice, amidst a night of dancing; I needed to refuel!
Lamb, Chicken, Paneer, Spinach & Chickpea Curries, all delectable and spicy, along with some Basmati Rice and the requisite Naan!  Delicious!

*I decided to take a break from Wine/ Alcohol for the month of January, but tonight I made an exception!  A large group of friends was together celebrating and I got caught up in the moment - totally enjoyed myself!  Back to the alcohol month fast tomorrow!



Strawberry Carrot Smoothie Recipe:

Into Blender put:

1 cup All Natural Fat Free Vanilla Yogurt
2 Bananas
12 Baby Carrots
10 frozen & thawed Organic Strawberries  
1 cup Orange Juice  

Blend and serve!
